Summary
| Description | Sierra Nevada woollystar, Eriastrum sparsiflorum, elevation 1585 m (5200 ft). The species was recently defined more narrowly to include only the plants with unmarked white to pale lavender flowers and glandular stem hairs as shown here. The balance of the species is now called Eriastrum signatum (see comment below for examples), with cobwebby stem hairs and bluer flowers with maroon markings. |
