Pseudanthias flavicauda Randall & Pyle 2001

  • Holotype: BPBM 33921.
  • Paratypes: BPBM 38667 (1), 38668 (3), 37209 (1); AMS 1.39907001 (1); BMNH 2000.1.6.2 (1); CAS 210369; USNM 359478 (1).

Type locality: Fiji, Beqa (Mbengga) Island [1], ocean side, steep drop-off, 61 m depth.

Etymology: This species is named flavicauda from the Latin, in reference to the yellow caudal fin of both sexes.
