Name

Solanum cheesmaniae (L.Riley) Fosberg (1987:181, "cheesmanii")

• Accordding to Brummitt & al. (2009:289) this name is not to be treated as homonymous with S. cheesemanii Geras., 1971 (= S. aviculare
  G.Forst., 1781), as suggested in Knapp & Darwin (2006).
• Holotype: Cheesman in Riley 403 (K)
• Type locality: ECUADOR. Galápagos: Indefatigable Island [i.e. Isla Santa Cruz], among lava rock in grassy patches, 28 Jul 1924.
