  • Lectotype: G.H.E.W. Hieronymus & G. Niederlein 746 (G00070235, G)
  • Isolectotype: CORD (CORD00004199, CORD00004200), LE, P (P00335096)
    • Designated by Morton (1976:88). According to Knapp (2013), the G, LE and P sheets do not have the collection number on them.
  • Type location: Argentina. La Rioja: Pie de Cuesta, above Vallecito [probably the Vallecito Encantado, near Guandacol, not the city of the same name in neighboring San Juan Province], Sierra Famatina.
