Holotype: MNRJ 12839 (fragments in RBINSc-IG 32240-POR 12839, CZA 12839, and MHNG 85672), collected by Y. Hooker and F.Azevedo on 10 December 2008.

Type locality: “Santa Rosa Island site 1, Independence Bay, Paracas National Reserve, Ica Region (14°19′10.20′′S, 76°09′52.40′′W); 8 m depth”, Peru.
