Dear Colleagues,
With grief I inform you all about the sad demise of Dr. D.D. Awasthi, 'Father of India Lichenology', today (21st Aug. 2011) afternoon by 2 PM, due to cardiac arrest. Cremation of his body will be done tomorrow (22nd Aug. 2011) during morning hours. I pray god for resting his soul in peace.
