There is uncertainty about the status of the monotypic Amblysperma with some authorities wishing to segregate it from Trichocline and others preferring the synonymy, c.f. Hind (2014) and Katinas et al. (2009). However, Oreoseris has now been segregated from Gerbera in line with findings from Xu et al. (2018). This tribe is very much still a work in progress.
