- ITIS cites Nelson, 1994 and Eschmeyer's Catalog of Fishes, 13-May-2004, website (version 10-May-04). In Nelson, 2006 and Eschmeyer online (Dec 2009) both authors treat Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines) as valid family. Ark (talk page) 11:00, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
