Briggs et al. (2009, 2010, 2014) provide good evidence that Restionaceae, Centrolepidaceae and Anarthriaceae form a distinct monophyletic clade and proposed that Centrolepidaceae be subsumed into Restionaceae, as the subfamily Centrolepidoideae, see also Stevens (2015). However, this proposal has not been accepted by other authorities, such as Govaerts et al. (2015), eMonocots (2015) and particularly Trias-Blasi et al. (2015). Therefore, for now WS will maintain Restionaceae s.s. in line with Trias-Blasi et al. (2015). However, the rest of the classification; subfamily, tribes and genera are inline with Briggs et al. (2009), Govaerts et al. (2015) and Trias-Blasi et al. (2015) Andyboorman (talk) 18:21, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
However, APG, 2016 has now made the above change and WS will follow this and it is assumed that other authorities will now follow. Andyboorman (talk) 18:10, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
