Welcome to Wikispecies![edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikispecies! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

If you have named a taxon, then it is likely that there is (or will be) a Wikispecies page about you, and other pages about your published papers. Please see our advice and guidance for taxon authors.

If you have useful images to contribute to Wikispecies, please upload them at Wikimedia Commons. This is also true for video or audio files containing bird songs, whale vocalization, etc.

Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username (if you're logged in) and the date. Please also read the Wikispecies policy What Wikispecies is not. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or in the Village Pump. Again, welcome! -- Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:44, 31 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Edit summaries[edit]

Your edit summary for this edit was "Created a new article", but that does not describe what you did. Many of your other edits have similarly misleading summaries.

Please use correct edit summaries. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:32, 28 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your user page[edit]

Many of the templates that are used on our taxon pages are specifically intended for taxon pages, and no other types of pages – and especially not the user pages. Those templates automatically adds the pages to several categories which are only ment for taxon pages. I've therefore reverted your last edit of your user page, since the result of your edit meant that your user page was automatically added to the categories Category:Stubs and Category:Pages with taxonavigation templates. These categories are only meant for taxon pages, and not for user pages.

Please read Help:Contents and its subpages for more information. Best regards, Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 03:30, 30 April 2024 (UTC).Reply
