Pleasse note that you have made several edits that change the formatting of the articles. Please keep the general formatting in accordance with the other articles. Formatting

Could you please use formatting as on other pages (e.g. Bathyporeia): i.e. use italics for both species and genera names and seperate them by non-breaking spaces ( ) where appropriate.
Acrida, e.g. needs to be done (I only did a random check).

Adding new taxa

When there are more than one of a certain taxon, it may be advisable to use the plural form of the taxon. Multiple taxa of the same level should then be separated by a nonbreakingspace-dash-space combination ( - ).

Axiidae and other 'double' taxa

It happens now and then—and more often with Genera than with higher taxa—that a taxon has been used twice or even three times. It obviously is not allowed by the ICZN, but it takes time (and effort) to adjust such issues. It also needs a proper databank, and there will be one only by 2008 (http://www.iczn.org/new%20ZooBank.htm).
There are some workarounds at the moment. You may for instance use:

[[Axiidae (Lepidoptera)|Axiidae]]

This will show Axiidae as link, but the page will be called Axiidae (Lepidoptera).

Phormictopus cancerides

Wikispecies is able to load images from Wikimedia Commons. If you have images that you want to share, please upload them there and not in Wikispecies, and do add proper licensing. Thank you. — Lycaon 14:35, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

Odonata subfamilies

Point taken, but I'm not sure these subfamilies and tribes are well established. the subfamilies remain ill-defined ... these almost certainly do not arrange the genera in any evolutionary order[1] Anyway I can't find an on-line resource - the International Dragonfly Fund don't use them on their comprehensive species list[2]. I shall have to leave my family-wide views as a first draft and hope somebody with access to the right books comes along to partition them. Asaphiscidae

I think something has gone wrong with your creation of this page - it is the same list of genera as Asaphidae and does not include the type genus Asaphiscus as in the photo.--Keith Edkins (Talk) 20:49, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Coleoptera - species lists

Hi. I'm working coleoptera out too, You see? I have a crazy idea: to add full species list to "sophysticus" generas, such as Carabus. It could allow to search a single specie in 2 parallel ways: to move through adequate sub-sub-sub-genera or jump from the genus page immediately. So, may I? New look for wikispecies

Setasomus nigricornis

Setasomus nigricornis - look at the 2-nd Reference. They gives name Paraphotistus nigricornis Panzer, 1799. So, Setasomus stayes as a Subgenus. Are You shure Y're fuly right?--Arachn0 16:34, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
