  • Holotype: INVEMAR PEC8250.
  • Paratypes: INVEMAR PEC8252 (0, 2), PEC2186 (1, 0), PEC3988 (0, 1), PEC4117 (0, 1).

Type locality: Colombia, Bocas de Ceniza, 11°00'33"N, 75°03'19"W, 144 m depth.

Etymology: named to honor the son of the first author, David Acero, who passed away on March 7, 2011.
