        • Note: Acevedo-Rodríguez (2003; 2012) and Fernandez et al. (2021) recognize no occurrences of this species outside Brazil;
          • (a.) the only Guyanese specimen cited as one of the paratypes by Guarim Neto (1983) is Forest Dept. of British Guiana 7489 (sterile; NY);
          • (b.) the only Surinamese specimen cited as one of the paratypes by Guarim Neto (1983) was R.S. Cowan 38983 (Cottica, Moengo, Marowijne, 23 July 1953 [26 December 1954], in fruit; NY, US [​US00595485 (2168778)(GBIF, speciesLink)), which Acevedo-Rodríguez (2003: 165) treats as Talisia sylvatica (Aubl.) Radlk..
